Using computers to improve English results
This course will provide you with practical, realistic, effective ideas for making the most of computers to improve student attainment in English:
- Help reluctant writers to write; help keen writers write better
- Enable richer reading of literature and non-fiction
- Increase confidence in speaking and attentiveness in listening

- To give you hands-on experience of lesson ideas and the confidence to deliver them
- To provide you with a wealth of materials to take away and use tomorrow
Who should attend
- Heads of English looking to embed ICT across the curriculum and to improve their department's teaching and learning
- All English teachers who want to improve their students' attainment
- All English teachers who are sure they could be using ICT more effectively in the classroom
To get the most from the course, all attendees should bring a laptop, preferably with Microsoft Office and a Wireless Card
