Introduction
One of the original founders of OSL Training is Shazmin Ali,
who runs www.oabc.co.uk. Shazmin is
originally from Trinidad, in the Caribbean. Whilst designing courses for the UK
Shazmin asked:
“Why stick to the UK?”
-
and so the idea of running courses in the Caribbean was born.
Two of the Trainers are no strangers to the Caribbean. Both Chris
and Shazmin ran a seminar in Trinidad five years ago: Oxford Conferences - Trinidad seminar
Running seminars for students and teachers is therefore an
extension of Oxford Conferences and OSL Training.
Courses
The courses are due to start in 2008. They will be held at
the Hilton Hotel, Port of Spain, Trinidad. To support the course a blog will be
maintained - authored by a Trinidadian.
These courses are only for teachers and students/pupils in the
Caribbean - tempting though it might be, UK teachers are not invited. Apart
from the obvious considerations like time, distance and travelling costs, the seminars will be
following the CAPE syllabus!
Those of you who have never been to the Caribbean might want to have a
look at these:
